PRO-DAY Standout Shines @ Billy Bock Classic

PINE BLUFF, AR — PRO-DAY standout Jared Turner of Little Rock Parkview had an outstanding performance at the 15th Annual Billy Bock Classic here at Historic Taylor Field.

Turner, who plays all positions on the field (except catcher & first-base and probably could play there also) was 5 for 6 (.833 avg) with four doubles, four runs scored, two base-on-balls and a RBI in his two games in the Bock Classic.

On the season, Jared is batting an impressive .429 going 12-28 with 18 runs scored, seven RBI’s, five doubles and 12 stolen bases.

He has helped lead his Parkview High team to one of its best early season starts (8-Wins) in years.

Jared, a 2018 graduate, participated in PRO-DAY’s Fall Showcases and has drawn interest from both 2-year and 4-year colleges.

Turner comes from an athletic family, where his father (Victor) was a pitcher on back-to-back Arkansas State Championship teams at Pine Bluff High and was a quarterback in college, helping lead the University of Central Arkansas to the NAIA National Football Championship in 1984 & 1985.
